PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sitting device for a lavatory bowl by which a user can easily sits on the seat of a lavatory bowl or stands up from a sitting state. SOLUTION: The auxiliary equipment for sitting assists the user in a motion of sitting on the seat 15 of the lavatory bowl 21 or standing up from the sitting state. It comprises the main body 1 attached and fixed to the lavatory bowl, a frame 8 which is connected rotationally with the main body and positions the lavatory seat in face to face with an upper end of the lavatory bowl by rotating in a falling down direction, a link mechanism 25 which is arranged in connection with the frame and the main body and a handle which is connected with the link mechanism at one end and rises and falls the frame by moving the link mechanism by rotational operation with the end as a point of support.
