The fuel tank has a venting device which closes when the car is at an extreme angle or overturns. There is an insert fitted in the venting line, which in normal operating conditions leaves a sufficiently large through passage cross section, but on contact with liquid fuel alters its shape and/or volume so that the venting line is blocked.
