PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible not only to simplify the work at the start time of molding but also to enhance the operability of an injection molding machine. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine has a cylinder member, an injection member, a weighing control means for storing a molding material in front of the injection member, an injection control means for injecting the molding material stored in front of the injection member in an injection process, a back pressure generation means for generating oil pressure with a preset value in a weighing process, and a mode setting control means for selectively setting either one of a back pressure transmission mode for applying the oil pressure generated by the back pressure generation means to the injection member as back pressure and a back pressure non-transmission mode not applying back pressure to the injection member. At the start time of molding, back pressure is released and, when first weighing is completed, the oil pressure generated by the back pressure generation means is applied to the injection member as back pressure.
