PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send still image data of a desired data type with reduction in the sending time to the opposite station of a video telephone conference via a transmission line of a limited transmission band. SOLUTION: This control method controls a video telephone conference system, including a moving image pickup device, a static image pickup device and an output device, which outputs the images picked up by both moving and static image pickup devices. The control method includes a switching step S3 for performing switching between the output of a moving image and that of a static image and, for the case static image output is selected in the switching step, a separating step S8 for separating the static image data into the luminance and color difference data and the output steps S8 and S11 to output in sequence the luminance data and color difference data of the static image data, which are separated in the step S8. |
