PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent making of an unauthorized copy of a video source in a recording and reproducing device which uses unexchangeable and exchangeable recording media. SOLUTION: When a video source is copied to a tape recording and reproducing section 2 from a disk recording and reproducing section 1, a transfer control section 3 holds a reading address from the section 1 and the address is outputted to a transfer information control section 5 after the completion of the copying. When a cassette detecting section 4 detects the fact that a cassette is taken out, the section 5 outputs the reading address to a video source erasing section 6 and the section 6 erases the video source on a disk recording medium. |
