PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in a multi-carrier system for grouping carriers f0, ..., f511,f512, ..., f1023,..., f3584,..., f4095 into subsets SUBSET1, SUBSET2,..., SUBSET8. SOLUTION: A constellation information transmitter BiGi-TA is located at a multi-carrier receiver RX, for example, to generate a limited number of pairs of parameter value B1, G1; B2, G2,..., B8, G8, for carrier subsets respectively and sends these parameter value to a constellation information receiver BiGi-RA, that is located at a multi-carrier transmitter TX, for example. The receiver BiGi-RA decides a constellation by interpolating these limited number of pairs of parameter value. Thus, each carrier of subsets is modulated by the decided constellation.
