The invention concerns a device for preventing children from going into the pool in the absence of an adult and for avoiding accidents. The safety barrier for swimming pool, consisting of a net maintained by posts mounted on stabilising platforms, is characterised in that the platforms are mounted on rollers which run in a profiled section acting as guide. An electric carriage draws the first post for automatic opening and closing. A safety closure (for instance, an electromagnet) ensures that the device cannot be tampered with.
