1,059,791. Fluid calculating apparatus. SOC. NATIONALE D'ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE MOTEURS D'AVIATION. Jan. 21, 1964 [Jan. 22, 1963], No. 2685/64. Heading G4P. [Also in Division G3] A pneumatic or hydraulic logic circuit element has two inlets and two outlets such that high pressure fluid flows through a first outlet if one inlet alone is supplied with high pressure and flows through the second outlet if both inlets are supplied with high pressure fluid. The element may be formed of two slide valves 5, 6 (Fig. 2, not shown) with inlets 1, 2 and outlets 3, 4 and interconnections 9, 10, 11 and side high and low pressure sources h, r, respectively, to provide the results a#b and a . b at 3, 4, respectively. In an alternative embodiment fluid jets enter through one or both apertures 1, 2 (Fig. 3a) and either flow out through the opposite outlet or impinge and are deflected to a central outlet 4. The Specification shows a circuit for adding binary numbers and describes a delay device (see Specification 1,059,792) in which a low-pressure pulse instead of a zero may be registered at the output by inclusion of a low-pressure inlet at the left-hand side of the transmitting valve. The Specification describes two conventional electronic halfadders (Figs. 4, 5, not shown).
|
