PURPOSE: A method and a system for providing native-language inquiry service are provided to enable a user to search by using native language. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing native language query service for Internet users by using a plurality of search engines in the Internet, each search engine having a respective dedicated language, adapted for receiving query requests containing query words of the dedicated language and returning query results in relation to the query words, the method characterized by comprising steps of receiving at a site an original query request from one of the Internet users, the original query request containing query words of native language of the user, selecting a suitable search engine from the plurality of search engines, translating the query words of native language into query words of dedicated language of the selected search engine, constructing a new query request directing to the selected search engine based on the original query request and the query words of dedicated language, sending the new query request to the selected search engine and receiving a returned query result, sending the query result back to the user as a query result in relation to the original query request.
