<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network interconnection system which can process data in a common signal form at the insides of network devices connected to differ ent networks and also can simplify a signal conversion process. SOLUTION: A network device 201 is provided with network interface ports which are connected to an ATM circuit 202, an X. 25 circuit 204 and an Ethernet (registered trademark) circuit 206, respectively, an HUB which is connected to the interface ports as a relay point, a routing engine which is connected to the HUB and a packet converter. The packet that is supplied from the circuit 206 on the Ethernet is directly outputted to the HUB. However, the signals of different forms supplied from the circuits 202 and 204 are converted into the pseudo packets on the Ethernet and outputted to an output port.</p> |
