PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulb shaped fluorescent lamp which can control light automatically up to a predetermined light-control phase and works without the risk of flickering in brightness, a discharge lamp lighting device using the fluorescent lamp, and an illumination device. SOLUTION: The bulb shaped fluorescent lamp has a fluorescent lamp 1, a noise filter NF, a rectifying circuit FBR, a smoothing capacitor C1, switching devices Q1, Q2 which is not less than one, a protective circuit PC, a lighting circuit device for performing a high-frequency lighting of fluorescent lamp FL with a load circuit LC, a cover to contain the lighting circuit device inside, and a base. The protective circuit PC is provided with a smoothing voltage detective circuit, a standard voltage source SVS, and a switching means SC. When the phase becomes the predetermined one, the switching means Q1 is turned off to stop high frequency and the fluorescent lamp FL is put off. |
