SOLUTION: A pixel part Y, including plural pixels 3 and vertical charge transfer lines 5 which are close to the columns, read vertical charge transfer electrodes Y1-1 and Y1-4 and, concurrent charge transfer-only vertical charge transfer electrodes Y1-2 and Y1-3, which extend in the horizontal direction, and a drive circuit Z which applies charge transfer signals to the charge transfer-only vertical charge transfer electrodes Y1-2 and Y1-3 and can apply charge read signals and the charge transfer signals for transferring charges to the charge read vertical charge transfer electrodes Y1-1 and Y1-4 and can independently apply charge read voltages to the concurrent charge reading vertical charge transfer electrodes formed in a partial area and the charge reading vertical charge transfer electrode formed in the different area are installed.
