PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer thermally an image, formed by an ink jet recording method, onto a fabric without spoiling the feeling of the fabric. SOLUTION: An ink receiver layer for forming an image on one side of a substrate through an ink jet recording method is formed separatably on a heat transfer sheet. When the ink receiver layer is transferred thermally onto an annex white cloth specified in JIS L 0803, the stiffness Y, measured by a stiffness A method specified in JIS L 1018 is 10 mm or less while the stiffness Y and the weight X per unit area (g/m2) of the ink receiver layer satisfy a relationship Y=aX+b. In the formula, a is 0.1-2.0 and b shows the stiffness of the annex white cloth. When the ink receiver layer is transferred thermally with the amount of transfer 10-50 g/m2, the stiffness is the degree of 50-100 mm. The ink receiver layer can be constituted of an acrylic resin and/or a urethane resin and a hot-melt adhesive resin (melting point is 50-150 deg.C). |
