PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain device for barn capable of easily and stably opening and closing even a lengthy barn curtain without winding or bending a curtain cloth so that the curtain cloth is hardly damaged, making the curtain cloth to stand long use, compared with those in the past, and facilitating the maintenance. SOLUTION: In this curtain device, one horizontal end of the curtain cloth 11 is fixed along the opening wall horizontal edge of a barn, a suspending rod 14 is fixed to the other end thereof and suspended by a plurality of pulling ropes 15, an a cylindrical weight used also as a guide roller 13 is held in the free state from the U-shaped bent part of the curtain cloth. The weight/guide roller 13 is vertically moved by operating the pulling ropers, and the curtain cloth is bent and moved in U-shape along the weight/guide roller in the state where it is regularly stretched by the dead weight of the weight/guide roller, whereby the opening wall is opened and closed.
