PURPOSE: A feedback shift control method of an automatic transmission is provided to change speed into the desired speed range without shift shock according to the travel state by feedback controlling with software without change of hardware. CONSTITUTION: Information on vehicle speed and the opening degree of a throttle valve is compared with upshift/downshift condition. The target speed range is set according to shift pattern in satisfying upshift/downshift condition, and shifting of a driving unit is synchronized according to the target speed range. Turbine rpm of an input shaft is calculated by performing sub routine in synchronizing the target speed range. Combination and release factors are operated by feedback controlling according to the calculated turbine rpm.
