PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an stator of AC generator in which reliability and performance can be enhanced, without having to lower the cooling performance of a coil end group. SOLUTION: An insulating resin 35 is applied to cover the surface at the top part of each coil end constituting a coil end group 16f, i.e., a joint 34 or a welded part 31 at the open ends 30c of coil pieces 30 and the insulation film stripped part at the open end 30c. The gap between joints 34 adjacent the radial direction is filled with the insulating resin 35. Furthermore, a ventilation space is ensured between joints 34 adjacent in the circumferential direction.
