CHANNEL CARD FOR EXPANDING SPEECH RADIUS OF BASE STATION

PURPOSE: A channel card for expanding a speech radius of a base station is provided to be used in common in a general base station and a base station for expanding the speech radius by controlling a GPS reference signal supplied from a base station modem and embodying one channel card for expanding the speech radius of the base station to maximum 4-times. CONSTITUTION: A system clock divider(16) receives a GPS reference signal of a GPS clock receiving unit(14) and divides a system clock. A speech radius expanding clock generating device(17) receives the GPS reference signal of the GPS clock receiving unit(14) according to a control of a control unit(15) and generates four speech radius expanding clocks for expanding a speech radius of a base station. An expanding clock control unit(18) controls and selects the four speech radius expanding clocks generated in the speech radius expanding clock generating device(17) according to the control of the control unit(15), and outputs first to fourth clocks for controlling the speech radius to a base station modem. Region 1-4 speech base station modems(19-1 - 19-4) are operated according to the first to fourth clocks outputted from the expanding clock control unit(18) and the system clock generated in the system clock divider(16) for performing the speech from a speech radius with 60Km to a speech radius with 240Km. A serial to parallel converting unit(20) converts serial data outputted from the region 1-4 speech base station modems(19-1 - 19-4) into parallel data. A D/A converting unit(21) converts the parallel data converted in the serial to parallel converting unit(20) into analog data. A data transmitting unit(22) transmits the analog data converted in the D/A converting unit(21) to an IF modulating unit. A data receiving unit(23) receives data transmitted from an IF demodulating unit and outputs the received data to the region 1-4 speech base station modems(19-1 - 19-4).
