PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost connector wherein a lever can be easily mounted on a connector housing and wherein the working to unite the first connector with the second connector can be easily carried out as well. SOLUTION: In a connector with a lever wherein the connector has the first connector 11, the second connector 12 and a lever 14 which has been movably mounted on the connector housing 13 of the first connector 11 and wherein the first connector 11 and the second connector 12 are made to be united by the operation of the lever 14, the lever locking means 18A, 23 by which the lever 14 is temporarily locked to the connector housing 13 in the state before the first connector 11 and the second connector 12 are united, and a release means 28 by which the temporary locking state of the lever 14 is released at the time when the first connector 11 and the second connector 12 start to be united, are installed.
