IMAGE ACQUIRING METHOD, IMAGING APPARATUS AND IMAGE INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full model capable of connecting an imaging apparatus to an image information receiver through a communication line and remotely controlling the imaging apparatus by operating a general-purpose file perusal program in the image information receiver. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (electronic camera 10) is provided with a communication means 60 which can transmit/receive information with an image information reception device and an information processing means 44 which instructs the transmission of a directory information where a function file name indicating a function for picking up an image is registered to the image information receiver through the communication means 60. The information processing means 44 transmits an image file obtained by picking up the image through the communication means 60. Thus, the imaging apparatus can easily and remotely be controlled from the image information receiver.
