The screen consists of a fabric panel (11) deployed from a roll (12) or pleats to cover a window or opening in a motor vehicle, e.g. a sun roof. The panel is supported by a series of ribs (15) with studs which engage with holes in the edges of the panel as it is deployed and separate from it when retracted. The ribs lie perpendicular to the direction in which the panel is deployed, and their ends run in guide rails (131, 132). |
