PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a print system, a method for informing the setting situation of the printer, and a storage medium in which the mode setting situation of the printer can be shared among users and usability can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The printer comprises an NVRAM 10 at an engine section 6 for storing set information including the color or level to be regulated concerning to print density regulation set by a user specifically without interlocking with a print job, a CPU 8 at the engine section 6 for informing set information stored in the NVRAM 10 to each PC 1, 2, a printer 3 having a controller section 5, a printer server 4 for reading out the set information from the controller section 5 of the printer 3 and transmitting it to the PCs 1, 2, and the PCs 1, 2 performing data communication between the printer 3 and the printer server 4.
