SWITCHING CIRCUIT FOR EMERGENCY LIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emergency light switching circuit that can prevent failure of general lighting after the recovery of electric power, even if the power breakdown is a short time. SOLUTION: The emergency light switching circuit comprises a general lighting inverter circuit 12 having a protection function which is operated by a direct current that is rectified and smoothed from an alternating current and which prevents the discharge lamp from starting when it is not connected, an emergency light circuit 11 which is operated by an emergency power source B, a detection and control means which switches to the emergency light circuit 11 when detected power breakdown and switches to the general lighting inverter circuit 12 when detected power recovery, and a timer means 13 which delays the detection of power recovery of this detection and control means longer than the reset time of the protection function of the general lighting inverter circuit 12.
