PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved manifesting method for visible light guide used in a display device. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the light guide as a plate 9 provided with a surface having plural scattered patterns obtained by laser beams, the surface is irradiated by the laser beam having intensity of the range of 104 W/cm2 to 107 W/cm2, especially the range of 3×104 W/cm2 to 3×106 W/cm2, and whereby an irregular surface shape and irregularity in a deep part are imparted.
