PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth fault disaster prevention method at an OF cable connection and offset parts that can show sufficient suffocation effect even if large earth fault accidents occur. SOLUTION: An OF cable connection part S is surrounded by a trough 1 so that fixed space for avoiding pressure is formed around the OF cable connection part S. At the same time, the trough 1 is covered by winding a strip of aramid fiber sheet 2 in a roll shape, and the periphery of the aramid fiber sheet 2 is covered with a sleeve-shaped earth fault disaster prevention sheet 3 made of aramid fiber, thus preserving the peripheral airtight property by the earth fault disaster prevention sheet 3 for maintaining the suffocation effect even if the trough 1 or the like is temporarily damaged, and hence preventing fire from breaking out even if ignition occurs.
