PURPOSE: A circuit for controlling power-saving of home appliances using remote control is provided, which minimizes standby power applied to a home appliance set even when the power plug of the set is being connected to an electric outlet, to thereby save power. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for controlling power-saving of home appliances using remote control includes a transformer(100) for receiving AC power and generating a voltage value with a predetermined level according to a predetermined transforming operation, an IR sensor(110) for sensing an optical signal according to a remote signal to output a predetermined level value, and a switch(SW1) turned on or off corresponding to the level value output from the IR sensor. The circuit further has a relay(130) for providing AC power applied to the home appliances to a power output port(140) when the switch is turned on, and a load sensor unit(120) having a load sensor(120a) for sensing an optical signal from a light-receiving unit of the home appliances and a switch(SW2) for outputting a predetermined signal corresponding to the output signal of the load sensor to maintain the on/off operation of the relay. The circuit also has a charge capacitor(C) serially connected with the relay to turn off the relay after the lapse of predetermined time when a remote off signal is applied.
