摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that can detect an object without any omission by the number of photographing times as less as possible, that is, by the number of acquired images in the case of photographing an object within a wide visual field to detect the object. SOLUTION: An object learning device 1 extracts a feature required for object recognition from a two-dimensional image of a registered object to be detected to generate dictionary data. A photographing parameter decision device 2 decides actual detection capability of the size of an object on the basis of the dictionary data obtained by the object learning device 1 through the measurement and decides panning/tilt/zoom parameters minimizing the number of photographing times on the basis of the result of measurement. An object retrieval device 3 controls a camera by using the parameters decided by the photographing parameter decision device 2 for photographing and detects the position and size of the object included in the photographed image on the basis of the dictionary data obtained by the object leaning device 1.
