PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera whose constitution is simple, in which no possibility of the collision of a barrier with a lens barrel is, and whose operability is excellent. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 3 is extended only to a position at which interference with the sliding locus of the barrier 2 is not caused in a state that the barrier 2 is opened by a photographer, so that the barrier 2 is immediately closed from this state without causing the interference with the lens barrel 3.
