PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red organic electroluminescence which shows large luminescence luminosity and high color purity and has a long luminescence life. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescence element which is equipped with a negative electrode and a positive electrode, and has at least one organic thin film which contains a luminescence layer among the pair of electrodes, at least one of the organic thin film layers is made to contain a naphtho- chinone-imine system compound shown by, formula (1). In the formula, R1-R2 express independently and respectively hydrogen atom, halogen atom, an alkyl group of substitution or non-substitution, an alkoxy group of substitution or non-substitution, an aryl group or a hydroxyl group.
