PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit of an induction motor, which restrains the increase of capacity of a damping resistor installed in an inverter, when the induction motor subjected to variable speed driving by a voltage type PWM inverter is in the state of regeneration. SOLUTION: When it is decided by an acceleration state discriminator 30 that the induction motor 8 is in the state of deceleration operation, carrier waves which are generated by a second carrier wave generating means 25 and different from each other conduct PWM operation of each phase, so as to increase internal loss of the induction motor 8. Thereby regenerative power is restrained, and consumption power of the damping resistor is reduced. |
