METHOD OF GENERATING AND TRANSMITTING OPTIMAL CELL IDENTIFICATION CODE

PURPOSE: A method of generating and transmitting an optical cell identification code is provided which makes an optimal SSDT cell identification code whose minimum hamming distance is maximized with regard to dynamic allocation and effectively transmits the code through an upward link channel. CONSTITUTION: At the point of time at which a user equipment operates in soft handover mode, at least one code selected from temporary identification codes based on Hadamard code and temporary identification codes based on biorthogonal code is selectively allocated to effective cells according to the number of the effective cells included in an active set. An identification code allocated by the user equipment is transmitted to the effective cells during site selection diversity transmission.
