The invention concerns a device for removing fluid from a container (10) having a gas and a tapping connector (14) in the area of a fluid collecting point (12). A collecting tank (18) can be connected to said tapping connecto r by means of a tapping line (16). The collecting tank can be in turn connecte d to a compensation connector (22) disposed in the container (10) by means of a compensation line (20), said compensation connector being different from the tapping connector (14). This makes it possible to provide a small fluid tapping device as maintenance unit that can be connected to the container an d disconnected therefrom with little idle time.
