PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the coat of a coal gasification apparatus. SOLUTION: This coal gasification apparatus consists of a coal gasification furnace and a heat recovery voile. The coal gasification furnace has a gasification part 56 which gasifies coal to obtain product gas 21, a heat recovery part 57 which is located above the gasification part 56 and is surrounded by a heat recovery part water-cooling wall 43, and pressure vessel 41 which contains the gasification part 56 and the heat recovery part 57 having the heat recovery part water-cooling wall 43. The product gas 21 flows upward in the heart recovery part 57 and exchanges heat with the heat recovery part water-cooling wall 43. The heat recovery boiler has a heat transfer tube 45 which recovers the heat further out of the product gas 21 coming out of the heat recovery part 57. The heat transfer tube 45 is located between the heat recovery part water- cooling wall 43 and the inner circumference surface of the pressure vessel 41. After the product gas flows through the hear recovery part 57 upward, the flow direction of the product gas is revered to the downward direction. By this constitution, further heat exchange occurs with the heat transfer tube 45. |
