PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water pump receptacle and an air conditioning apparatus in which cooling water leaking from a mechanical sealing is prevented from spreading over a unit base of a machine chamber. SOLUTION: In a receptacle 111 of a cooling water pump 55 constructed by uniting a motor 103 and a pump body 105 through a mechanical seal, the receptacle 111 includes a reception pan 130 for containing cooling water leading from the mechanical seal 107.
