PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a page editing work and a parts generation work in parallel without requiring operator's picture substitution work. SOLUTION: When a rough picture 108 or an RGB picture 104 is inputted as an independent file, the picture file is automatically taken out, and a picture 118A for editing AliasEPS is generated from the picture, and the same file name as the picture is given to the picture 118A, and the resultant picture is stored in a folder from which the picture has been taken out. Thus the picture 118A for editing AliasEPS is substituted for the original picture and is displayed when application data 102 is opened by an editing application 30. Since the taken-out picture is used in the parts generation work, the page editing work and the parts generation work can be performed in parallel. When the page editing work is completed, dummy page data (ProbeEPS 124) using the picture 118A for editing as it is generated for each page, and a page allocation work for a plate can be performed. |
