PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood piece water absorptionproof-treated composition and a wood piece water absorptionproof treating method wherein a water absorptionproof property is added to a wood piece constituting bonded wood, and drop of bonding performance can be prevented. SOLUTION: A wood piece water absorptionproof-treated composition contains paraffin wax and quaternary ammonium salt. The paraffin wax contains preferably solid paraffin of 40-90 deg.C melting point. The quaternary salt is didecylmethylammonium salt, cocoalkyidimethylbenzylammonium salt, didecylmethylpolyoxyethylammonium salt, dioctyldimethylammonium salt, lauryltrimethylammonium salt, lauryldimethylbenzylammonium and the like. A content of the paraffin wax is preferably 0.5-15 wt.%, and a content of the quaternary ammonium is preferably 0.5-15 wt.%.
