PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for efficiently managing the constitution of data processors distributed on a data processing network. SOLUTION: An IT environment provided with distributed managers and distributed agents hierarchically arranged correspondingly to hierarchically arranged base IT environments is disclosed. A distributed data base or each part thereof is provided to each manager and stores information concerned with the constitution of an IT device. Each agent extracts the constitutional information of each IT device from the data base. Each manager is realized on an IT server and each agent is realized on a corresponding IT device. Thus, the managers and the agents use the calculation processing capacity of the whole IT environments to be managed. In the case of judging a necessary change in the constitution of an IT device arranged on the same network hierarchical level or an IT device independently arranged on a level lower than the same hierarchical level, each agent conducts intelligent operation.
