The invention relates to a processing tool for sorting machines of the kind which are intended for processing goods, especially refuse, with a view to sorting said goods and which comprise a rotatable, horizontal drum. The processing tools (8) are arranged in connection with openings in the drum wall, processing means (9, 10, 12) on the circumferential surfaces (11) of the processing tools projecting into the drum via said openings. The processing means comprise at least one feeding thread (9) helically extending along the circumferential surface and at least one disintegrating thread (10) likewise helically extending along the circumferential surface. The feeding thread (9) has a gradually decreasing height above the circumferential surface (11) between two successive points of intersection with the disintegrating threads (10). |
