REMOVABLE DISK AND REMOVABLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable disk which is capable of easily and exactly displaying many kinds of information relating to an information recording medium and a removable drive assembly. SOLUTION: This removable drive assembly 14 comprises the removable disk 13 which contains the information recording medium 2 in a cartridge 1 and a drive assembly 11 which is freely attachable and detachable with the removable disk 13 and accesses the information recording medium 2. The removable disk 13 is provided with a display mechanism 4 for displaying the state of the information recording medium 2 by moving an instruction position and a compression spring 7 as an energizing means for energizing the mechanism in a direction for prohibiting the movement of the instruction position. The drive assembly 11 is provided with a drive source 19 which is freely attachably and detachably connected to the display mechanism 4 of the cartridge 1 and moves the instruction position of the display mechanism according to the state of the information recording medium 2 by overcoming the energization of the compression spring 7.
