<p>A method for examination of bronchial asthma attack, characterized in that it is based on the amount of E-cadherin decomposition product being present in a sample to be tested; and an examination kit for carrying out the examination of bronchial asthma attack on the basis of the amount of E-cadherin decomposition product being present in a sample to be tested, characterized in that it comprises an antibody capable of reacting with the E-cadherin decomposition product. The determination of the amount of E-cadherin decomposition product being present in a sample to be tested is preferably carried out according to an immunologic technique which uses an antibody capable of reacting with the E-cadherin decomposition product from view points of simplicity, ease and others. The method allows the diagnosis of the pathological state of a bronchial asthma patient, for example, as to whether asthmatic attack is in progress or not, and leads to an appropriate therapy or treatment depending on the pathological state.</p> |
