PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burr-like projection removing device for shape steel capable of a efficiently removing the bur-like projections produced in the edge section of shape steel without a transferring device for shape steel and a moving device for a rotary body such as a wire brush and even if the shape steel is warped. SOLUTION: An on-line removing device for removing the burr-like projections 2 produced in the edge section of shape steel 1 after being rolled comprises a presser roller 4 arranged opposing to a transferring roller 8 movably in the vertical direction on the outlet side of a finish rolling mill and having a groove fitting to the shape of the shape steel, a presser means 5 for giving pressing force to the presser 4, and a brush roll 3 arranged at a position contacting the edge section of the shape steel 1.
