PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the shape of the electric conductor of each layer after twisting a desired one, when a stator is manufactured by arranging electric conductors formed into segments so as to form a plurality of layers in radial directions in slots, and twisting these electric conductors. SOLUTION: The parts to be held 31h, 31i, 32h, 32i of electric conductors 31, 32 are held by twisting means 5 which twists parts of the electric conductors 31, 32 projecting outside slots. These held parts are moved in the circumferential direction of a stator core 1, and along with it moved independently for each layer in the axial direction of the core. Consequently, it becomes possible to perform positioning for the parts to be held after a twisting process in the axial direction of the core. |
