<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and compensate a phase error due to a difference in paths even in the case of an ultrasonograph constituting a multiple ring by bundling vibrator elements arranged two dimensionally like a concentric circle. SOLUTION: In this ultrasonograph which has a probe 20 provided with a plurality of vibrator elements 29 arranged two dimensionally for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to and from a subject the two-dimensionally arranged vibrator elements 29 are bundled like a concentric circle to constitute a multiple ring and form a bore 30 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, a delay is given among each ring of the multiple ring to transmit and receive ultrasonic beams, and the beams are scanned to form an ultrasonic image, a delay error due to sound velocity unequal section in the subject is measured, and a means compensating either or both of bundling of the multiple ring and delay time is provided to provided the image by the compensated beams.</p> |
