PURPOSE: A method for accessing an application program of computer is provided to permit an automatic access authentication to a plurality of application programs needing an access code without remembering the whole code of each selected application program. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises of a computer station(1) connecting to an inter-computer communication network(9), a reading unit(10) connecting to the station by an electric cable(2), and a personal portable device(7) connecting to the reading unit in order to transmit data. The personal portable device, especially a wristwatch includes a memory. Many parts of the memory are kept secret against an access word by read/write protecting part and at least one part of the memory is read by an access word. The reading unit detects the personal portable device nearby, reads a discriminable word, and commands the station to connect to the determined server and to open a check file in order to check if the discriminable word belongs to a list of allowed word or not. In case that the discriminable word belongs to the list of allowed word, the secret number is transmitted to the station in order that the reading unit opens the reading protecting part and the whole access words are transmitted to the station in order to open the corresponding application program.
