PURPOSE: A side panel mounting structure is provided to prevent booming phenomenon of a side panel and to simplify process. CONSTITUTION: A side panel(38) is directly welded to a lower pillar(34). The side panel has straight middle and upper end parts and a lower end inwardly bent to form a bent part. The bent part of the side panel is spot-welded to the lower pillar on two spots so that the side panel is not detached from the lower pillar. As the lower pillar is welded to the side panel on two spots, the booming phenomenon during driving is prevented. As the lower pillar and the one end of the lower part of the side panel are directly welded, the rigidity and stability is improved.
