PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impulse response estimate unit that can obtain an impulse response of a propagation path without increasing arithmetic quantity. SOLUTION: A lattice filter 201 uses an input signal sequence to generate a backward prediction error and a backward reflection coefficient. A tap coefficient calculation section 202 uses a reference signal and a backward prediction error signal sequence generated by the lattice filter to calculate a tap coefficient. A tap coefficient conversion section 203 uses the backward reflection coefficient generated by the lattice filter 201 to generate a conversion matrix and generates a tap coefficient applicable to a transversal filter through a matrix arithmetic operation using the tap coefficient calculated by the tap coefficient calculation section 202 and the conversion matrix.
