PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video microscope which can stand long time use, which is inexpensive and which can save power. SOLUTION: An operation member support 12 fixed so that a position relation with an object 11 becomes a prescribed position relation, a lens holder 14 by which a lens system 13 is supported so that it can freely move in the direction of an optical axis M with respect to the operation member support 12, a video signal conversion part body 16 in which an image pickup element 15 is arranged in the prescribed position and which is arranged so that it can relatively move in the direction of the optical axis M with respect to the lens holder 14, a stepping motor for objective distance setting 59, which drives so that an objective distance between the object 11 and the object side main point of the lens system 13 becomes a value which is set, a stepping motor for object image pickup distance setting 64, which drives an object image pickup distance between the object 11 and the image pickup face of the image pickup element 15 becomes a value which is set and an operation controller 3 driving the stepping motors so that the object distance and the object image pickup distance are in prescribed positions corresponding to video magnification which is set are included.
