PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic levitation type pump capable of reducing an electric current flowing to an electromagnet coil for generating electromagnetic force and capable of enhancing detecting sensitivity of a position sensor part. SOLUTION: This magnetic levitation type pump 1 is composed of a motor part 10, a pump part 20 and a magnetic bearing part 40; a tip part of an electromagnet 41 of the magnetic bearing part 40 and a tip part of a core 43 of a position sensor 42 are embedded in a easing 21 composed of a nonmagnetic material for forming a partition wall with a pump chamber 22 to seal the inside and the outside of the pump chamber 22; the electromagnet 41 and the position sensor 42 are directly opposed to a soft magnetic member 26 of an impeller 23; an electric current flowing to an electromagnet coil is reduced; and sensor sensitivity of the position sensor 42 is enhanced.
