APPARATUS FOR MEASURING INTER-MODULATION DISTORTION SIGNAL

PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring an inter-modulation distortion signal is provided to correctly measure the distortion signal of a very low level and measure a bilateral inter-modulation distortion signal at the same time, by inserting an RF(Radio Frequency) switch before a DUT(Device Under Test), and thereby switching a main signal. CONSTITUTION: A signal(f1) from a signal generator(1) is applied to a band pass filter(5) via a power amplifier(3) and a cable assembly(3a). A signal(f2) from a signal generator(2) is applied to a band pass filter(6) via a power amplifier(4) and a cable assembly(4a). The signals from the band pass filters(5,6) are combined by a power combiner(7). The signal output from the power combiner(7) is inputted into an RF switch(9) via a duplexer(8). An inter-modulation distortion signal generated in a DUT(10) is applied to a coupler(11) via a cable assembly(10a). The inter-modulation distortion signal output from the DUT(10) is inputted into an RF switch(14). A spectrum analyzer(18) checks intensity and frequency characteristics of a main signal, and detects the inter-modulation distortion signal.
