PURPOSE: An automatic door opening checking system for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to prevent the introduction of water to the inside of a vehicle by checking the door opening state before the waterproofing test, thereby preventing the loss of manpower and time required for exchanging the wet seats in case of water leakage due to the opened door. CONSTITUTION: An automatic door opening checking system for a vehicle includes a sensor(120) for informing the arrival of a vehicle to test, rectilinear light lamps(140,150) for emitting rectilinear light around doors of the vehicle, CCD cameras(160-190) for photographing images of the vehicle doors lighted by the rectilinear light lamps, a computer(210) determining whether any one of the vehicle doors is opened or not according to the images of the vehicle doors photographed by the CCD cameras, and a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller;220) for stopping a conveyor belt(110), lighting a warning lamp and generating a buzzer sound if opened.
