PURPOSE: A vehicle air conditioner is provided to improve performance of an air conditioner, to improve productivity, to compact the volume and to improve comfort for an occupant by forming an evaporator core and a heater core into a unit. CONSTITUTION: Evaporator cores(5) are installed outside a support panel(4), and a heater core(7) is installed outside the support panel. An insulating cover(6) and an inner cover(10) are combined to the outer face of the support panel. Thus, cooling and heating are performed in one unit. As an airflow is formed in the shape of u, noise and vibration due to airflow are avoided. The evaporator cores are installed upwardly and downwardly outside the support panel. Then, heat transfer area is enlarged easily and performance of an air conditioner is improved. Space occupied via the air conditioner is reduce, space of a front passenger's seat is enlarged.
